Such a fun morning of easy running. Started out with Scott and Melissa for a long run ending in a 5k. These miles were all meant to be easy and they were. I was a bit concerned I would have a hard time running after easy running in Hawaii and taking several days off. I felt good overall. We ran 12.5 miles at an 8:45 AP through Provo and the river trails in the area. Scott did such a great job of mapping out this run, it had the perfect amount of variety. We ended a bit faster than we anticipated though and had to wait for the 5k to start instead of making it one fluid run. I'm so happy to be back running with my buddies, I missed their guts! Once the race started I had to keep reminding myself that I wasn't racing this, just making it part of my long run. I ran 3.2 miles (it was slightly over) at an 8:29 AP. This race was a real tear jerker that I was glad to be apart of. Love these types of races:)
